COLOMBINE Room: Our most modernist and transgressive room had to share its name with an illustrious Almerian, an example of courage and passion. Carmen de Burgos, under the pseudonym of Colombine, became a key figure in the Spanish cultural and social scene of the early 20th century. She was a writer, journalist, educator, translator and women’s rights activist.
